SUMMARY OF POSITION
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are operating remotely at this time and this role can be 100% remote if desired. This QA Analyst 1 position is assigned to the QA Releases Team, which is responsible for pre and post release testing. The position will be involved in the final phase of Stage environment testing prior to submission and subsequent release of any client and weekly content updates. Other testing will include and not be limited to: post-release content fixes/patches, A/B testing, messaging and other user engagement campaigns.
This is a 6-month to a year contract position with the opportunity for a contract extension or conversion to a permanent hire.
Currently, all Pixelberry staff are working remotely. Hybrid work model (1 day/week in-office) will be in place once we resume on-site operations, currently scheduled for January 2022. 100% remote option will be available/reviewed on a case-by-case basis only.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Testing of Release clients across iOS and Android devices prior to app submission and app release
- Conduct smoke-testing of Live client updates post-release to verify app stability
- Execute Stage testing of weekly chapter content to ensure stability and functionality in a Release environment and as a final pass to catch any issues missed earlier in the pipeline
- Regression testing of DLC post-release fixes in Development environment
- Perform Stage testing of server configs prior to Live deploy
- Carry out other testing requests from Production and UA on A/B Testing and messaging campaigns
REQUIREMENTS
- 1 - 2 years of QA experience from previous employment
- Understands key differences between iOS and Android test devices
- Experience with the following: JIRA, Confluence, Xcode, SVN, Git, G-Office Suite
- Ability to think outside of the box to find edge case scenarios that might not be covered in the test plans.
- Excellent communication skills for adapting bug reports to become more concise and detailed
- Knowledge of bug severity levels and is able to assign priority in bug reports
