Purchasing and Contract Manager

• Location: Helsinki, Finland
• Relocation: Relocating to Finland expected, full support provided
• Remote work: Hybrid model of office and remote work
• Start date: Flexible, ideally as soon as possible

Responsibilities

Purchasing and Contract Manager plays a key role in developing and managing our purchasing activities and negotiating related contracts together with our legal team. And as this is a new position at Metacore, you get to define what our purchasing function will look like along the way. In practice, this means (at least) the following:

• Researching and identifying prospective vendors, as well as negotiating purchase terms and prices with the vendors
• Taking ownership of our contract lifecycle management
• Collaborating closely with internal teams, such as game teams, alongside building strong relationships with vendors
• Evaluating vendor performance and resolving any delivery issues or discrepancies

Requirements

Every role is eventually shaped to match our unique passions, backgrounds and strengths. Here are some of the key skills and experience you should already have when joining Metacore as a Purchasing and Contract Manager:

• A degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a similar field
• Few years of experience in reviewing, analyzing and negotiating commercial contracts for technology services and software, since a large part of this role involves purchasing such services
• Excellent interpersonal skills topped with an aptitude for negotiating — that’ll help you to collaborate with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external, on a daily basis
• Fluency in English which is our company language (Finnish language skills are a plus, since it is likely some of the contracts would be in Finnish)
• This is a new role within a fairy small team so we expect you to be quite self-directive and have a proactive and independent way of working
