Job Description
As the Publishing Production Director APAC for Mobile, you will work as a key partner to the development teams and publishing stakeholders to deliver exceptional GaaS products, schedule and budget goals, thrill and delight their intended audiences.
You have a central role that involves a high level of interaction with project teams or external clients / partners and as well as producing missions focus for the Live Operations of our games, adapted to APAC countries, needs and players behaviors.
Your missions will be divided into two major pillars: strengthen the marketability of our games for the region, and develop adapted Live Ops, to make the players enjoy even more playing our games.
In details, your missions will be:
Product Adaptation
- Manage and drive the creative vision for APAC and key features of the different projects in collaboration with the mobile leadership and Ubisoft’s Mobile Studios.
- Gather regional features and feedback to be implemented in the product, adapted to the cultural and players behaviors specificities for the regions (Japan, Korea, Taiwan, South East Asia and India). Be the voice of the players, articulate clearly their expectations to the team and provide actionable items.
- Drive the creation and implementation of new features that align with the projects’ vision objectives for the region.
- Partner with regional and global publishing teams to ensure development support as needed to achieve community and live operations goals.
Live Producing / Live Ops
- Construct forecast models to match live operations schedules with financial targets
- Build and train a team or manage partners to support Live Operations at the regional scale.
- Define the local campaigns/events and the Sales & Promotion strategy inside the games. Coordinate global campaigns with the mobile HQ and other regions.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and game ideas within the relevant genre to deliver growth whilst making a positive player impact.
- Monitor and report on the performance of LTEs, Sales & Promotion, and new features, in close collaboration with Business Intelligence teams.Analyze the financial performance of the game against the financial objectives and react quickly to refine your release roadmap to meet targets and optimize business performance.
- Support the Studio’s product teams to influence the short term and long-term feature roadmaps by surfacing unmet player and admin needs, thanks to your knowledge of the markets and in-game metrics.
- Analyze competitors and perform benchmarking to suggest trendy events and new features.
Qualifications
What you need to succeed in this role:
- 5+ years of experience in a Producer role or above, with multiple shipped Mobile or cross-platform AA+ or AAA products
- Excellent knowledge on F2P/GaaS mechanics. Deep understanding of acquisition, retention, monetization.
- Ability to evaluate gameplay quality as well as schedule delivery, identify key risks, and provide mitigation strategies that allow the project to deliver its key vision, including marshalling other company resources where needed
- Strong cross-team communication skills
- Ability to bring together the viewpoints of developers and publishing functions, such as regional and global marketing, PR, CS, Live Ops, and others
- Must have excellent comprehension of all aspects of game production (management, planning, scheduling, budgeting, staffing, programming/technology, design, art, audio, video, localization, QA)
- Well-versed in current Asian gaming trends and market competition. Deep understanding of Asian cultures and values
- True partner to development studios who builds and strengthens the relationships between development teams and the publishing organization
- Fluent in Japanese, English business proficiency mandatory

You will collaborate with multiple teams, from the Studios ones, to the Mobile Headquarters in Paris, as well as the PC & Consoles teams already existing in Japan and the other APAC countries.
