Public Relations Manager

Seattle or Remote

Rec Room is looking for a focused, detail-oriented multitasking Public Relations Manager. You’ll play an instrumental role in setting strategic priorities for the global communication strategy for both the game and the company. The successful candidate will work across various internal teams, including senior leadership, to make sure Rec Room is represented properly to the outside world. They will also be responsible for sourcing new strategic PR opportunities.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Arrange and manage Rec Room's participation in events, press tours, and interviews.
• Lead discussions on PR milestone timing and strategy and manage a living PR roadmap.
• Compile press coverage and prepare detailed executive summaries.
• Compose accurate, well-written press materials, about Rec Room, on deadline.
• Own media training of staff for interviews and demo content to media.
• Take on additional writing projects and other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of Public Relations experience in gaming or social media.
• Experience working with developers, transforming complex concepts into accessible player messaging, and developing spokespeople
• Relentlessly high standards and a high attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and diplomatic skills.
• Superb presentation skills
• Strategic thinker with the ability to stay on top of tactical execution.
• Familiarity with the App Store, Google Play, Steam, Playstation, Xbox, Oculus, and other gaming platforms.

NICE TO HAVE

• Deep games industry knowledge.
• Existing games editorial relationships.
• International games experience or knowledge.
• Familiarity with the Rec Room.
• Experience with a social entertainment.
