The role @ Sumo
Sumo Digital is continuing to grow and as such now have a brand new role available. We are looking for a Project Office Manager who will be responsible for supporting the PMO in providing visibility of Project Status across Sumo Digital, evangelising PM processes and best practice and additional PMO administration and support duties.
In your new role you will responsible for:
- Working within and supporting the PMO whose main aim is to improve Sumo Digital’s project management capability and competitive advantage
- Validating the Sumo Digital Development Process including project tracking, stage gate reviews and non conformance reporting
- Support the development of the Project Management Process and make recommendations for improvements
- Management, administration, customisation and development of Sumo’s project management tools and systems
- Project Post Mortems – arranging and running project post mortems
- Support skills development and training
- Help improve communications between teams and across studios
- Create and update ‘How to’ documentation
- Take ownership of standardised documentation templates
- Support PMO Oversight & Communication Plan
- Support PMO Training needs and recommendations
- Reviewing and improvement of Sumo’s Change Management process
- Recruitment – assist Studios with Project Management hires where needed
To be successful you will have:
- Experience in running major technology projects
- Extensive knowledge of a wide range of production methodologies, and when best to deploy them
- Expert knowledge of project management software (e.g. Microsoft ADO, JIRA)
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 tools (e.g. Excel, Project, PowerBI)
- The ability to introduce new working practices into teams successfully
- Be able to work with Development teams to audit progress in such a manner that does not appear intrusive but helpful
- The ability to self-organise and build an agenda without constant supervision
- A highly effective operational management approach, ensuring activities are tracked, actions taken and followed through to completion
- A solid background in Project Management Methodologies in a software / technology
