Project Manager / Release OwnerSummary
Our Franklin, TN based team is looking to add a Project Manager/Release Owner II to the team, who will be responsible for managing one or more product releases for Aristocrat. The Release Owner II coordinates releases using accepted Agile practices and rules in a game development environment. As a Release Owner II, you should have strong interpersonal and facilitation skills, learns from associates, fosters a culture of continuous improvement, and performs other duties as assigned.What you'll do
- Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks as delegated
- Build interdepartmental connections throughout the organization
- Serve as liaison between technical and non-technical departments, communicating with management, developers, product managers and technical support specialists on product issues
- Must be a “team-player” with the ability to work within collaborative environments to organize and facilitate release prioritization, and risk management
- Utilize existing product portfolio intake process into Software Development
- Manage and optimize the flow of value through programs using various tools and information radiators
- Lead and guide development teams through weekly delivery exception and risk mitigation meetings
- Establish quarterly release plans and use existing systems to broadcast high level progress to the broader organization and enterprise
- Assist Product Owner(s) as needed with timeline creation
- Collaborate with Engineering Managers on prioritizing the Architectural Roadmap with the Product Portfolio
- Produce and broadcast release forecasting reports
- Ensure tracking repositories stay current with deliverable milestone commitments
- Interfacing with the Release Manager
- Build and drive feature completion and business value metrics throughout the Agile Software Development Lifecycle
- Work with Product Management, Lead Product Owners and stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment
- Assist development teams with the prioritization of their product backlogs as designated
- All other duties as assigned
What we're looking for
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience in managing projects
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Software Development environment
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an Agile environment
- Preferred: Certified Scrum Master or Certified Product Owner
- Preferred: Certified Scrum Professional with 1+ years of Scrum Master experience
- Preferred: Experience with Agile Lifecycle Management tools
- Good understanding of Agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures
- Ability to effectively manage by listening, being readily available, and asking questions, building consensus
- Good long and short-term planning and organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills (Written and Oral) especially listening and collaboration skills
- Good interpersonal and negotiating skills
- Good decision making and problem solving skills, works well with potentially high degrees of ambiguity
- Good analytical ability
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project, Visio)
