Project Manager, Product Operations (Contract)

The PlayStation Network Product Management department is charged with delivering next-generation connected gaming experiences to PlayStation customers around the world. The Project Manager will primarily be responsible for the facilitation of several weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings that coordinate the efforts of various partners and delivery teams. Working as a partner with Product Management, you will be collaborating with the team to ensure that milestones are achieved and key deliverables are available on schedule. Based in downtown San Francisco (SoMa), you will work as part of the Product Management team in San Francisco and will work in close collaboration with the Product Managers for both the Console Platform and Network Platform to define and deliver elite, socially-engaging experiences, which delight customers and make PlayStation® the best place to play.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the team to develop documentation: including scopes of work, project plans, project definition, contact/status reports
- Lead schedules, meeting facilitation, key deliverables, team expectations, and timing for assigned projects
- Collaborate with multiple other teams and Product Management staff in leading projects
- Provide risk mitigation related to scope and quality by communicating a clear description of problems and potential solutions to senior staff
- Lead internal project meetings
- Supervise internal review, approval, presentation preparation and presentation/delivery
- Ensure accurate trafficking of deliverables to key partners
- Materially contribute to project deliverables where appropriate
- Ensure needed approvals and sign-offs obtained on all deliverables
Qualifications:
- BA/BS Degree or equivalent required
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in project management or related role
- Outstanding project management skills
- Strong PowerPoint presentation skills
- Solid understanding/experience with project management tools like JIRA, MS project, trello, etc.
- Must have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be self-motivated and results-oriented.
- Ability to travel for key stakeholder meetings
Additional requirements include:
- Ability to translate business and marketing requirements into viable digital solutions
- Experience leading multi-stream projects and relationships between internal stakeholders
- Training in Project Management programs, tools, and methodologies
- Strong negotiation skills with a daring approach.
- Strong sense of ownership of process and results
- Ability to move projects forward with some ambiguity in some instances
- Creative and ambitious teammate who is adaptive to change and have a desire to continually improve. Ability to find creative solutions to complex problems and multi-task
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, writing, and verbal skills
- Highly adaptable, organized, and detail oriented with an ability to influence others in these areas
- Highly computer-literate with practical experience utilizing MS Project and other project management tools
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and project team members to further the business objectives of our products and services
- Ability to work in a fast paced, multiple project environment on an independent basis and with minimal supervision
- Understand agile software development process
