Job Description
As a Project Manager (Audio) on the Performance Capture Team at Ubisoft Toronto, you will oversee, review and enhance current processes and tools and ensure their proper implementation and sustainability. You will be the point of contact during all project phases to assess issues and needs in collaboration with stakeholders, and suggest and implement solutions.
- Ensure and/or define process and system quality improvement by implementing best practices and/or relevant techniques;
- Meet with clients, determine, assess and understand their needs and ensure their understanding and involvement in future approaches;
- Define and apply best management methods and practices and take part in their development and implementation;
- Along with managers, determine the resources required by teams (availability, skills) and ensure knowledge transfer;
- Take part in the implementation of appropriate methodologies for effective project management that meet quality standards, budgets and deadlines;
- Understand the workflow processes and the inter- and intra-departmental relations and collaborate with in-house partner services to orchestrate and facilitate the implementation of optimal solutions and/or improvement projects and workshops;
- Follow up on the progress of the work (team/project/production support), provide guidance on project initiatives and communicate statuses to project stakeholders on a regular basis, ensuring adequate communication between project collaborators;
- Close projects (report, post-mortem, accounting);
- Carry out proactive follow ups with clients and on mandates with the customers;
- Know your client base, especially by keeping client information up-to-date (follow up on production mandates, general satisfaction, timelines etc.);
- Regular reporting on the status of your projects. Escalate risks and scope projects when needed.
- Ensure the quality of communications with clients (frequency, adaptation based on the context and product, etc.);
- Carry out all other related tasks.
Qualifications

- Experience in audio production;
- Knowledge of the Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) + familiarity with project management software (e.g. Jira)*;
- Strong communication and client relations skills;
- Ability to balance shifting short-term priorities and long-term goals;
- Excellent time management, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills;
- Critical thinking, open-mindedness, adaptability, flexibility, ability to receive feedback;
- Organization skills, rigorous, autonomous, ability to plan, and able to work with tight deadlines;
- Ability to learn new tools and workflows quickly;
- Ability to clearly explain complex ideas;
- Sense of aesthetics, understanding of video games language as a media.
- Minimum 5 years of management experience or related experience (experience in the video game industry or as a scrum master is an asset);
- Training/certification in project management or optimization and continuous process improvement approaches is an asset;
