Project Financial Analyst

Job Description

We are currently seeking for Project Financial Analyst to be part of Ubisoft Bucharest Team.

Role summary
Reporting to the Financial Planning Manager, your mission will be to involved in financial planning, P&L analysis and budget optimization activities with specific focus on Production and Test project budgets.

You will participate to the daily life cycle of the project from concept to production, launch and post launch phases and you will provide directional information to facilitate decision making for our game co-development AAA Ubisoft projects.

Responsibilities

You will be in charge of financial planning, P&L analysis and budget optimization. Within this scope, you will:

• Manage the financial planning process and guarantee top quality of the financial data : organize in advance, establish the budgets in collaboration with stakeholders and perform regular updates;
• Extract, prepare and integrate data from multiple sources;
• Create monthly variation analysis and reporting;
• Identify the reasons for differences between the planned and actual results; point out trends & recommend action to management;
• Review, process and track projects spending and booking;
• Work with finance teams to prepare annual and quarterly financial forecasts;
• Identify key financial and/or operational issues to be addressed and recommend action plan;
• Collaborate with HR team to perform quantitative analysis, dashboards, reports;
• Act as a business partner to the stakeholders from management level in financial area by:

- Perform smart analyses on selected features and projects types;
- Develop financial models, conduct bench marking and process analysis;
- Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance,
- Develop forecast models and identify trends;
- Prepare presentations / reports with relevant business explanations;
- Control and present monthly reports for production teams and lead studios;

Qualifications

Requirements

• 3+ years of work experience working as an analyst, ideally in financial domain, or any other relevant experience;
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills;
• Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, management or any similar field;
• Strong numerical and analytical skills, rigor and attentive to details - you like to work with data, build your own reports & drive your analysis;
• Knowledge of data reconciliation in different systems & databases;
• Result oriented with high quality standard in all deliverables;
• Self-organized, and ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks;
• Drive, motivation and team spirit, passion for gaming
• Good problem-solving skills – constantly looking for challenges, always ask question & be close to project team and developers;
• Great communication skills and client oriented with both financial and non-financial parties;
• Fluent in English.
