Beenox est un studio de développement de jeux vidéo créé en 2000. Situé dans la belle ville de Québec, au Canada, Beenox est une filiale à part entière d’Activision Publishing Inc., chef de file mondial dans le développement interactif.
Le studio est fier de contribuer aujourd’hui au développement de la célèbre franchise Call of Duty. Beenox a également pris part au succès des franchises Skylanders, Spider-Man et Guitar Hero.

Mandats
Le Programmeur d'Engin est appelé à intervenir dans différents mandats entourant l'engin de jeu.
Le premier mandat du Programmeur d'Engin sera de prendre en considération les contraintes des différentes plateformes de jeu pour optimiser l'aspect graphique du jeu.
Le deuxième mandat du Programmeur d'Engin sera d'épauler l'équipe artistique dans le développement de fonctionnalités et d'outils en lien avec les besoins artistiques du projet (shaders, textures).
Le troisième mandat du Programmeur d'Engin est en lien avec la stabilité et la performance de l’aspect multijoueur du jeu.
Finalement, le Programmeur d’Engin effectuera une veille des avancées technologiques et participera activement à des initiatives d’amélioration continue sur l’engin.
Principales tâches
- Assure l'évolution constante de la technologie associée à différentes plateformes;
- Développe des fonctionnalités de l'engin de jeu : graphique, networking, optimisation, physique, système d'animation, APIs;
- Assure la qualité et la performance des fonctionnalités qui ont été développées; Supporte les usagers sur les fonctionnalités créées.
Exigences
- Excellente connaissance du langage C++ et des engins temps réel;
- Expérience dans le développement console et PC;
- Bonne capacité d'analyse;
- Autonomie dans l'exécution de ses tâches;
- Aisance à s’adapter aux outils internes et à un environnement en constante évolution; Attitude positive et aisance à travailler en équipe;
- Passion pour le jeu vidéo;
- Très bonne compréhension du français et de l’anglais tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit;
- Atout : connaissance d’autres langages comme C#, Lua et Python;
- Atout : connaissances d’API graphiques telles que DirectX, OpenGL et Vulkan.

Objectives
The Engine Programmer will have different objectives related to the game engine.
The first objective of the Engine Programmer will be to allow the game to maximize its graphic capacity for all the different game platforms on which the game will be published;
The second objective of the Engine Programmer will be to support the Art team and drive the development of features and tools related to the Art team needs (shaders, textures, etc.);
The third objective of the Engine Programmer role will be related to the stability and performance of the multiplayer aspect of the game;
Finally, the Engine Programmer will provide technological watch for the programming team for current projects and future projects;
Main Tasks
- Ensure the constant evolution of technology associated with different game platforms;
- Develop functionalities of the game engine: graphics, networking, optimization, physics, animation system, APIs);
- Ensure the quality and performance of functionalities that were developed;
- Support users on developed functionalities.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of C++ and real-time engines;
- Development experience for console and PC;
- Good analytical skills;
- Autonomy in fulfilments of tasks;
- Capacity to adapt to internal tools and a changing environment;
- Positive attitude and desire to work on a team;
- Passion for video games;
- Very good knowledge of French and English both spoken and written;
- Asset: Knowledge of other languages like C#, Lua and Python;
- Asset: Knowledge of graphics APIs like DirectX, OpenGL et Vulkan.
