PROGRAMMEUR OUTILS STAGIAIRE

Ici chez Eidos-Montréal, nous façonnons des expériences immersives depuis plus de 10 ans. Au sein du groupe Square Enix, nous avons travaillé sur de nombreuses sagas iconiques, comme Deus Ex, Thief, Tomb Raider ou encore Marvel’s Avengers. Nous aspirons toujours à laisser notre marque unique sur nos jeux, qu’ils viennent d’une série déjà connue ou de projets inédits.

RESPONSABILITES

• Développer des logiciels en C++ en appliquant les principes de développement orientés objet;
• Maitriser les techniques et outils de débogage;
• Analyser les besoins d’amélioration du code existant, puis mettre en place les mesures correctives nécessaire à l’amélioration de celui-ci;
• Contribuer positivement à l’atteinte des objectifs du projet et de l’équipe.

EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS

• Étudiant au baccalauréat en génie informatique ou de logiciel, concentration en jeux vidéo, un atout;
• La participation à des GameJams et le développement de projets personnels sont de gros atouts;
• Bilinguisme : français et anglais, écrit et parlé.

HABILELTES TECHNIQUES

• Maîtrise du langage C++
• Connaissance de C# constitue un plus
• Connaissance d’Unreal Engine un plus

• Volonté constante d'optimisation du code, comprendre l’importance des limitations mémoire et cpu

QUALITES INTERPERSONNELLES

• Autonome et débrouillard
• Rigoureux
• Attitude positive et curiosité
• Sens du travail en équipe, et bon en communication
• Assez mature pour donner et recevoir des critiques constructives
• Désireux de repousser les barrières du jeu vidéo

• De la passion pour les jeux vidéo est essentielle : les CV avec des projets académiques ou personnels liés à l’industrie du jeu vidéo seront privilégiés.

TITLE: INTERN PROGRAMMER

REPORTS TO: LEAD PROGRAMMER

Here at Eidos-Montréal, we’ve been creating immersive experiences for over 10 years. As part of the Square Enix group, we have worked on a variety of iconic IPs, including Deus Ex, Thief, Tomb Raider, Marvel’s Avengers and more. We always aspire to leave our unique touch on our games, whether they are part of renowned series or all-new projects.

RESPONSABILITIES

• Develop software in C++ by applying the principles of object oriented coding;
• Master the debugging tools and the techniques used;
• Analyze the need for improvement to existing code, and implement the necessary corrective measures to improve it;
• Participate in the implementation of game mechanics;
• Be a positive contributor for the achievement of the project and the team objectives.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• BA Computer or Software Engineering student, video game concentration, an asset;
• Bilingualism: French and English, spoken and written;
• Participation to GameJams or development on personal projects definitely a plus.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Must have an excellent working knowledge C++
• Knowledge of C# is an asset
• Experience with Unreal Engine an asset
• Mindful of hardware constraints, constant willingness for code optimization

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

• Rigor
• Self-driven and resourceful
• Positive attitude and curious
• Team player and a good communicator
• Wanting to push the technical and creative boundaries of video games
• Mature enough to give and take constructive criticism
