The Enterprise Data Program Manager will play a key management role in the delivery of Data Services projects for Corporate, Land & Digital business needs and requirements that are critical to the realization of the Enterprise Data strategy. The role requires the Program Manager to support the Senior Program Manager to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of all Enterprise Data initiatives and act in a project manager role for certain key projects.
The role will require working closely with the Data Team, business stakeholders, and in some cases third party partners. To be successful in the role the manager will be someone who can thrive in an unstructured, collaborative environment and can distil complex problems into actionable work and help drive projects to completion. The scope of projects will focus on large foundational work, as well as a portfolio of (smaller) use cases to support the stand-up of the Enterprise Data capability for Aristocrat.
It is expected that the Enterprise Data PM will be a self-starting, high performing team member, ready to drive results and actively participate in shaping the direction and improvement of the Enterprise Data & Insights team over time.What You'll Do
Program Management
- Lead Enterprise Data & Insights Project Management and Program Management initiatives.
- Build project charters and develop, maintain, and monitor the overall program plans.
- Define, track, and improve key metrics and success criteria for major data services initiatives.
- Aggregate achievements, wins, successes, and initiative milestones and progress into programmatic weekly dashboards.
- Create / maintain program management policies, processes, and methods.
- Identify, manage, and escalate program and/or project change, interdepencies, risks and issues as required.
- Advise in the prioritization of technology-related programs and projects that have the greatest potential for value delivery in alignment with the organization’s strategic direction, while managing potential downsides.
- Increase predictability in program and project outcomes with respect to schedule, cost, and quality parameters.
- Collaborate with project managers to manage projects and deliverables across the Enterprise Data & Insights portfolio.
- Facilitate / coordinate meetings or work sessions to enable business analysts and business users to gather high-level or detailed requirements for prioritization and decision making.
- Prepare leadership and SteerCo packs (presentations) and other program updates and project deliverables as required.
- Possess an enterprise mindset and the communication and negotiation skills to manage both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring successful program delivery.
- Coordinate and facilitate adhoc communication sessions, workshops, team meetings, etc. as needed.
Project Management
- Manage a number of key projects for the Enterprise Data & Insights team and lead these efforts from Discovery and Requirements gathering with the Product team through successful execution and delivery with the Data Engineering team.
- Manage scope, schedule, and budget expectations with quality outcomes.
- Manage multiple group workstreams to ensure connectivity externally and internally with related parties.
- Author project documents (e.g., project charters, project plans, risk registers, risk plans, communications and change management plans, etc.) and lead project activities (e.g., requirements gathering meetings, reviews, project meetings, etc.)
- Manage stakeholder approvals, timelines, and schedules for data projects.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree required in Information Technology, Data Engineering, Analytics or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required.
- Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate, Program Management Professional (PgMP) certificate,
Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certificate, or similar accreditations preferred. - Minimum of 5 years Program / Project management experience required.
- Experience with data analytics or business intelligence platforms preferred.
- Solid knowledge of project and program management techniques and methodologies, product development life cycle including new product design, sustaining, and value engineering in a regulated environment.
- Excellent detailed planning experience and stakeholder relationship management skills.
- History of high-quality project execution.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create and/or streamline existing processes.
- Excellent organizational skills—ability to handle multiple ongoing projects with minimal supervision.
- Experience in gaming, content distribution, media and entertainment, or retail industry is preferred.
- Experience in project management tools, techniques, and methodologies.
- Must have mid-level to advanced skills in Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity or skills in Smartsheets is a plus.
