About the Role
Do you enjoy helping others learn, improve and develop their careers? Are you an enthusiastic and creative self-starter that enjoys envisioning, creating and delivering new educational programs and events? Do you have experience organizing great hackathons, engineer conferences, and other training events? If you answered yes to many of these, then Twitch wants you! We are looking for an experienced Program Manager of Engineering Education and Events to build opportunities to educate, excite, and empower engineers at Twitch to build amazing apps for live streaming. You will report to the Head of Engineering Excellence.
In this role, you will help develop and own the programs and events that engage Twitch engineering in growth and education opportunities. You will talk to internal customers and conduct surveys to measure effectiveness , and assess needs and future opportunities. You will partner with our Engineering Education and Engineering Success teams to strategize. You will organize virtual teams to deliver developer conferences, hackathons, and other programs of your choosing. You will partner with our parent company Amazon to identify relevant training events that Twitch can leverage . We are open to you sitting in the San Francisco, Seattle or Irvine offices for Twitch.
You Will:
- Organize, promote and deliver high-quality annual engineering events such as Engineering Summits and Hackathons
- Report on program metrics, tracking attendance and customer feedback.
- Develop, conduct and analyze Engineering surveys to evaluate effectiveness and sentiment
- Assist in developing and delivering training program, activities, and All Hands events.
- Coordinate all aspects of training events from start to finish (walkthrough, contract, invoicing, set-up , etc. )
- Research, negotiate and coordinate outside service needs with speakers and vendors as required .
- Assist with management and administration of Learning Management Systems.
- Assist with facilitation of engineering new hire training.
You Have:
- 3+ years experience organizing and delivering engineering events and training.
- Technical degree or equivalent recent experience that shows depth of technical ability with programming and software deployment skills
- Demonstrated expertise creating mechanisms and metrics to evaluate performance of learning tools
- Experience delivering a great customer experience
Bonus Points
- Proven e-learning design and development experience and experience with designing, developing , and delivering and blended learning strategies.
- Experience using Learning Management Systems to improve the delivery of training solutions.
- Knowledge of AWS tools and concepts
