Job Description
The User Research Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the activities of their project’s User Research Cell and ensuring its successful operation through effective communication, collaboration and problem solving.
A User Research Cell is a group of various expertise who collaborate to design and carry out the User Research strategy on one of the projects developed at Montreal studio.
Responsibilities:
- Accompany the execution of the User Research strategy designed by User Research Analyst and Game Intelligence Analyst on their project;
- Facilitate efficient communication and collaboration between Cell experts and with stakeholders;
- Develop and foster relationships in order to meet the needs of the production;
- Align tasks and priorities of the various expertise within the Cell, in collaboration with Lab Leads;
- Oversee overall quality of their Cell’s deliverables, in collaboration with Lab Leads ;
- Take care of Cell newcomers’ onboarding on their project;
- Ensure the use of User Research Lab’s processes within their Cell and contribute to keeping processes up to date and tailored to their project’s specific constraints;
- Sync-up with other User Research Cell Owners on multidisciplinary collaboration, resource management, support, etc.;
- Create project management documentation (planning, budget, quotes…) ;
- Anticipate technical hardware, technological and human resource needs for their Cell;
- Participate in some HR processes like Cell members evaluation, vacation approval, etc.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Project Management, Communication or any other relevant training or experience;
- Training in Game Design/Game Development is an asset;
- Training in Data Science, Analytics or similar is an asset;
- Training in User Research or User Experience Design is an asset.
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in Project Management;
- Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams is necessary;
- Experience in stakeholder management in a large organisation is necessary;
- Experience in Data Science, Analytics or similar is an asset;
- Experience in User Research or User Experience Design is an asset;
- Experience in the video game industry is an asset
- Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary high performing teams;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in French & English;
- Fast learner, Agile and adaptive mindset;
- Time and priority management;
- Goal-driven & solution focused;
- Ability to maintain objectivity in decision making processes;
- Conflict resolution;
- Proactive, passionate, tactful.
