Job Description

The production director reports to the studio manager and provides vision and direction for his domain. He establishes the roadmap for the evolution of his domain and his services, so they meet the ever changing needs of the industry.

As a member of the Studio’s leadership team, a key emphasis will be to directly contribute to shaping our studio culture, communication, accountability & change management.

Responsibilities

Champion leadership in production. You lead the culture and create the sense of community within the team and evangelize this culture across the studio. You demonstrate team play, charisma, enthusiasm & a strong sense of commitment even during critical situations. You anticipate problematic situations and address them immediately.

Own the production team. You build and maintain the 3 year roadmap of production, you provide clear vision, strategy and direction for the team. You define service strategy that provides high quality and cost effective systems. You collaborate with management teams for long term planning, organizational objectives, services strategies, key priorities, change management & risk mitigations. You propose, manage & measure against yearly budget on a regular basis to ensure that production and its services are being delivered at the best value proposition. You continuously identify opportunities for scaling-out successful practices into new global services

Drive improvements and processes. You implement a clear decision-making framework in the production process and ensure that the team follow the structure. You oversee and manage the development and deployment of software that can be integrated with Production’s needs and systems to facilitates their production pipelines. You set service level objectives, measure team performance & drive improvements across all disciplines

Grow the studio. You improve the capabilities and skillset of the studio. You ensure succession planning within your team. You mentor and provide opportunities for growth and training, clear job expectations and challenging objectives. You ensure coherence and equity in their performance assessments. You take part in identifying new talent and oversee their onboarding.

Qualifications

• Degree in business administration, project management or equivalent
• Has shipped at least 1 AAA console game as a Producer or Associate Producer
• At least 7 years relevant experience in team and project management
• Knowledgeable on the trades and process of video game development
• Excellent knowledge of project management methods and tools
• Solution oriented and ability to work effectively under pressure;
• Strong leadership skill
• Excellent communication skills;
• Passionate about playing and creating games
