Job Description
As a Production Data Analyst at Massive, you work with extracting, visualizing, monitoring and analyzing production related data, with the purpose of providing visibility and predictability of our game productions which in turn allows our producers to make data informed decisions, measure progress, mitigate risks, plan ahead and improve the way we make games.
In this role you will work with several different data sources, ranging from HR and financial data to data from our project tracking software, version control software and build pipeline.
As a Production Data Analyst you will work closely with the Production Directors on the game projects, who are the primary customer of this data, understanding their needs and assisting them with interpreting the data and providing them with insights. You will also work closely with Production Transformation, who strives to continuously improve the Studio’s production methods. This position reports directly to the Studio Production Strategy Director.

What you’ll do
- You implement, visualize, monitor and analyze production data and KPIs, and provide insights and guidance to the production teams based on this data.
- Together with the producers on the game projects, identify what KPIs and data visualizations are needed to improve visibility and predictability of the production.
- Define how data and insights will be reported and ensure the delivery and relevance of the reporting throughout the production period.
- Providing ongoing data informed production risk assessment, flagging trends and KPIs that are off target.
- International travel required.
Qualifications
What you’ll bring
You are curious and have a passion for building easily accessible data visualizations that can be intuitively understood. You are well oriented in how software production works, and thrive working close to the daily challenges of production. You have solid communication skills and feel comfortable presenting your findings to an audience, explaining complex information simply and clearly. You are passionate about detail, math, statistics and data technologies. Besides the above we’re looking for someone aligned with our core values and the following skills and experience:
- Degree in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Business Analytics, or relevant professional experience
- Solid experience in data analytics or business analytics.
- You have a passion for detail, math and statistics in general.
- Strong communication skills is a must.
- Excellent skills with data visualization tools (ex: Tableau, PowerBI)
- Proficient in writing complex SQL queries.
Is a bonus if you:
- Have previous experience of video game production
- Have previous experience of financial analysis
