Job Description
The Production Coordinator (Japanese/English) will work with our producers on our Mobile Games Team and our external partners for the tactical publishing and live service lifecycle of one or more game titles for Nexon America. The role will also ensure the quality and speed of translating any game related documents with partners in Japan. Translation responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, proofreading game related documents, E-mails, Community reports, and interpreting business meetings. Additionally, this role includes moderating and monitoring all community channels and reporting community issues.
Responsibilities
Support the mobile team with project coordination and production support services for the assigned game.
Proactively participate in content, events, and sales reviews.
Assist Producers in creating a vision for the game; coordinate detailed execution and meetings with internal and external teams; responsible for day to day developer communication.
Translate game-related documents from English to Japanese and vice versa.
Constantly monitor and moderate user generated contents within both Nexon-owned (Facebook, Discord, etc) and non-Nexon-owned (Reddit) community channels to maintain positive environments for our players to participate in.
Coordinate and interpret business meetings.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Requirements
Your qualifications include:
1 - 2 year(s) of work experience
Gaming experience preferred, but not required
Prior game translation experience is preferred, but not required
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Creative writing techniques preferred
Experience with game testing, localization and or certification is a plus
Must be fluent in English and Japanese with native proficiency required
Strong interest in video/mobile games
Strong project and time management skills
Knowledge of Japanese anime, game trends is plus
Ability to effectively communicate and identify linguistic issues
Great attention to detail and passionate about the Japanese language
Strong knowledge of Japanese culture and our target audience
Excellent computer skills and Microsoft Excel knowledge
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong work ethic
Aptitude to learn quickly and effectively
Ability to remain focused in a team-oriented environment
Experience and familiarity with multiple gaming platforms and genres is a plus
