Rockstar India is looking to hire a Production Coordinator to join our Code group and assist in making some of the most highly respected and widely recognized AAA titles in video games. This is a full-time permanent position based out of Rockstar’s unique game development studio in Bangalore, India.
WHAT WE DO
- We act as production support across all the code departments: beyond our own high level code initiatives, we work with the various management and production teams, inside the code department and beyond, to help coordinate the development of the various active projects. We work to improve global communication between the different code disciplines and other departments to ensure there is a clear and transparent workflow to our fellow developers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working closely and liaise with global code teams on a wide array of projects and initiatives, supporting production efforts to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Understanding the needs and workflow of the Code group and connected teams, and proactively help to streamline and adjust our project management processes.
- Maintaining an active awareness of project goals, timelines and communicate progress and help with all the reporting initiatives.
- Tracking and presenting detailed schedules, milestone objectives, status reports, and other documentation with clarity and accuracy.
- Help liaise with QA and ensure bugs are tracked and followed up on, especially closer to milestone ends and releases.
- Proactively identify, communicate about, and resolve production issues.
- Ensuring meetings are properly setup, documented and the agreed upon actions are carried out.
- Working with initiative and autonomy, while collaborating closely with the development team in multiple locations globally.
- Developing relationships and maintain regular communication with Leads, Directors, and Production staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree / Diploma in a related discipline, or 3+ years of equivalent work experience.
SKILLS
- Previous experience with project development processes and practices.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work closely in a team setting and with other departments.
- Self-motivated and adaptable with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Eagerness to learn new software, workflows, and skillsets.
- Positive, solution-oriented individual with a passion for game development and project management.
PLUSES
Please note that these are desirable skills and are not required to apply for the position.
- Software development or video game industry experience.
- Genuine enthusiasm for video games; especially Rockstar titles.
- Experience with bug tracking software.
- Experience using project tracking software.
- Knowledge / experience with Perforce or other version control software.
