The role @ Sumo
Sumo Sheffield has a fantastic opportunity for a Production Assistant to join one of our Game Development teams. As part of the Production team you will support and enable developers, tracking delivery progress and facilitating clear, cross project communication. This role is ideal for someone who considers themselves to be organised, highly adaptable and composed.
In your new role, your responsibilities will include:
- Working alongside the Production team to ensure the developers are fully functional and productive
- Facilitating daily stand-up meetings and monthly retrospectives with the development team, taking notes and identifying action points to follow up on
- Tracking and updating development schedules
- Attend meetings and provide departmental updates
- Identify and resolve conflicts between schedule, capacity and project goals
- Assisting in the process of risk analysis on all projects with a view to mitigating all project risks
- Working alongside the Production team to build and improve process and best practice
To be successful you will have:
- Great people management skills, using a friendly and understanding approach to our team members
- Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to priorities a varying workload effectively
- An open, positive and collaborative attitude
- Confidence to find solutions to problems
- An eye for detail with the ability to make sure that all the information is accurate and correct
- Demonstrate a keen ability to develop new skills through online training
- Be adaptable and open to change due to the evolving criteria with external and internal teams
- Passion for games
- Strong communication skills and good knowledge of Microsoft 365
- Ability to work under pressure and achieve results under tight deadlines
It would be great if you also have experience with:
- Have knowledge of Scrum and/or Kanban methodologies
- Basic understanding of Game Development and Production practices
