Production Assistant I/II - Operations

We're looking for a Production Assistant I/II to join our team, which collaborates remotely from around the world. Our members range from industry newcomers to experts with 15+ years of experience. Team members come from a diverse set of backgrounds, but share a common passion for building polished player-focused, community-powered games.
At Hypixel Studios we are looking for applicants that are demonstrably passionate about their hobbies, have the drive and commitment to deliver results with minimal supervision, have international-level professional competency in their skill sets, and can demonstrate involvement with other interesting projects throughout their lives.
The ideal candidate will assist with production tasks within our operations team, working directly with the CEO and reporting to the Operations team. You should have excellent organisational skills, the ability to take ownership over projects, knowledge of the videogame development process and a passion for video game culture.
As a production assistant within our operations team working from our headquarters in Derry~Londonderry, you will be responsible for collaborating with other disciplines such as game design, art, and audio to ensure smooth production on specific projects at the direction of our CEO.
Who you are:
- You’re familiar with the Game Development process
- You’re passionate about video games or fandom culture and have a demonstrable passion for these.
- You’re an excellent organiser able to prioritise your work balancing long term goals with emerging projects.
Some of your role:
- Act as a liaison between senior leadership and the wider production team
- Acts as a conduit of information and highlights important production notes and information.
- Basic time keeping and meeting arrangement.
- Regular meetings with the CEO and COO
- Ownership of any and all special projects as deemed suitable by the CEO.
- Removes lower level task workload from CEO.
Essential Traits:
- At least one year previous work experience in the technology, multimedia, games or film and TV sector.
- The ability to work in a fast paced and remote start-up environment
- Proactive approach to work and able to work on your own initiative
- Excellent multimedia skills
- Strong organisation and communication skills
- Resourcefulness and problem solving abilities
- Enthusiastic with a willingness to learn
- Previously completed projects in multimedia or games space.
Bonus Traits:
- Previous experience with game development or modding
- Previous experience of working with a remote team and multiple timezones
- Previous management experience
