Zynga is looking for a strong free-to-play Product Marketing Manager with outstanding project management skills and a passion for launching new products and games to join our growing team! As part of the larger marketing organization, the position reports to the Senior Product Marketing Manager in our Casino-Match division and will also work very closely with the game team product managers and functional marketing leads to lead exciting upcoming game launches.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with game studios and functional marketing leads to develop and execute integrated marketing plans for new games from pre-production through worldwide launch
  • Establish positioning of the new games in the market, identify the target player segment(s), and identify value propositions and key messages that bond the right players to our games.
  • User consumer insights to calculate market sizing for the target player segments
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with other marketing disciplines, including user acquisition/performance marketing, social, platform partnerships, and more to develop and execute the overall go-to-market strategy for a new game launch in the marketplace, both domestically and internationally
  • Develop ongoing live operations strategies for game once in market
  • Work closely with game teams to provide detailed marketing forecasts and management presentations on a daily, weekly and quarterly basis.
  • Analyze player data to make recommendations and pivots to marketing strategy as needed
  • Write creative briefs for internal or external agencies to ensure all teams produce outstanding creative that is consistent across all channels and resonates with consumers.
  • Be a “marketing ambassador” between the central marketing teams and game teams. Ensure goals and incentives are aligned across all teams including game studio, platform partnerships, marketing creative, lifecycle, paid acquisition, social, and app store optimization.

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in free-to-play game marketing with a strong track record of success and results
  • Experience launching new mobile products, including creating a GTM strategy, positioning, and working cross-functionally with marketing, game team, and other publishing operations in order to execute flawlessly and under tight deadlines
  • Experience designing (from scratch), launching, and scaling marketing programs that span multiple countries. Experience with international marketing strategies
  • Solid understanding of web and mobile marketing best practices
  • Deep understanding of free-to-play acquisition, retention, and monetization key product indicators
  • Experience developing and executing successful brand marketing campaigns, both online and offline
  • Ability to provide clear direction, set measurable goals, and give insight on industry and competitor trends
  • Experience – and desire – to perform day-to-day execution and optimization
  • Strong influencing skills; effective cross-functional driver
  • Ability to be flexible on a day to day basis with task priority, and operate at a very fast pace
  • Can analyze and distill consumer insights in order to make strategic marketing decisions
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills across all levels of the organization, from engineers to C-staff
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Strong understanding of ASO and UA testing and best practices
  • You approach your work with energy and can work both independently and in a cross-functional team environment
  • BA/BS in a related field, MBA a plus
