Chartboost is hiring a Product Marketing Manager (PMM) to work closely with Product, Marketing, Ops, and Sales teams to influence product development and develop go-to-market strategies that support customer and business needs. In this role, you will tell stories, influence through data and insights, and work closely with PMs to help them bring products to market.
As the Product Marketing Manager for our publisher products, you will be a strategic partner to Product Managers, Sales Leads, and the rest of the Marketing team in support of the Chartboost Supply team to bring a compelling user-centric point of view that will shape the marketing strategy of our rapidly growing suite of Ad monetization products. In this role, you will own positioning, messaging, competitive analysis, and go-to-market strategy for our new and existing products while also managing, growing, and evolving our publisher products, including Chartboost Mediation (our mediation solution) and the Chartboost Marketplace (our exchange solution).
Using insights drawn from the latest data and industry trends, you will be the “voice of the customer” and help bring that perspective to every facet of the product, product roadmap and while launching new product features to market. Working closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, Engineering, Data, Marketing, Sales, and Communications to bring your concepts to life. Impact you will make:
- Positioning & Messaging: Create high-impact marketing and sales collateral (whitepapers, datasheets, executive presentations, etc.). Continually work cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Marketing teams, as well as customers and partners, to proactively identify roadblocks and provide compelling solutions to help differentiate Chartboost in the marketplace. Create new ideas and associations that generate added value.
- Market and Competitive Intelligence : Be the expert on Chartboost publisher products, buyers, and market to educate sales and assist deals. Recognize the changing needs of the sales environment, buyer journey, and market demand to enable our sellers to compete better by utilizing insights into economics, trends, and drivers.
- Customer Analysis : Know our customers deeply by using surveys, interviews, industry data, etc., to inform our positioning, messaging, buyer/customer journeys, and long-term direction.
- Product Vision : Help define and implement a product vision that garners market thought leadership for Chartboost, creates new growth and revenue opportunities and helps inform the product roadmap.
- Product Prioritization : Influence long-term and short-term product plans by working across Marketing, Product, and Sales teams.
- Product Launches : Create and execute marketing plans for product launches, working across Sales, Marketing, and Product.
- Content Strategy & Creation: Develop and execute a strategy for external marketing channels to drive awareness, engagement, and retention through collateral such as one-pagers, blog posts, e-books, and presentations
- Sales Enablement : Assist in creating sales enablement tools and materials to empower our client-facing teams to clearly articulate Chartboost’s unique and differentiated value proposition to customers.
- Storytelling : Able to convert facts, points of view, and ambiguity into persuasive storytelling that is impactful and easily digestible for our customers.
- Customer Adoption: Improve customer adoption and retention with actionable insights formed through testing, customer feedback, data, and surveys.
- Customer Retention: Partner with Product and Revenue Teams to identify opportunities to optimize the customer experience.
- Marketing Events : Assist marketing events with messaging & positioning development and content curation.
Who you are:
- 5+ years of product marketing, marketing or growth experience responsible for customer acquisition, retention, and monetization; experience working on ad monetization products, mediation platforms, and/or an exchange is a plus
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with experience influencing and working cross-functionally with Sales, Product Management, Account Management, Support, Design, Demand Generation, Content Marketing, and Lifecycle Marketing teams
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills, with a natural curiosity to measure, test, learn, and iterate to get the best results possible
- Experience using quantitative and qualitative insights and data to inform growth strategy, prioritization, and roadmap development
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop and deliver customer-facing messaging and positioning
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

This is a fully remote role that may be based anywhere in the United States.
The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $90,000 and $185,000 per year. For applicants based in Colorado at the start of employment is expected to be between $85,000 and $158,000 per year. For applicants based in New York City and New Jersey at the start of employment is expected to be between $85,000 and $180,000 per year.
However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
The pay range for this position for applicants based in Washington at the start of employment is expected to be between $80,000 and $160,000 per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards and eligibility to participate in our 401(K) plan, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees will also receive 13 paid holidays per calendar year, unlimited discretionary time off, and will receive 10 sick days per calendar year. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
