We are looking for a Head of Product Marketing, Creator to partner closely with our Roblox Creator Group. The Creator Group is democratizing creation on Roblox by providing an open, collaborative, and extensible platform of professional tools and services – including Roblox Studio, Analytics, Translation, and more. This person will drive the go-to-market strategy, including positioning, messaging, and channel planning for all critical product launches. The role's focus will be on driving awareness and perception of the Roblox Creator Group to all audiences.
This role will be highly cross-functional with close relationships across Engineering, Product, Developer Relations, Marketing, and Data Science & Analytics. The ideal candidate has marketing strategy and execution skills, with proven success in technical product marketing.
Role is based in our San Mateo, CA, Headquarters office #LI-Hybrid
You will:
- Lead the launch process and guide the GTM strategy, messaging, and positioning for all our Creator Group products.
- The Creator group builds the runtime technology that powers 3D experiences on the Roblox platform. These include the technology and APIs for developers to build high-fidelity, immersive content – such as compiler features, networking, 3D graphics, physics, streaming audio and video, and avatar APIs.
- Develop compelling, evergreen content that educates developers, creators, and all partners (users, influencers, as relevant) on the product experience and guides use and engagement.
- Anticipate movement within our competitive space and users to predict market trends and product needs.
- Foster collaboration between Product, Marketing, Comms, Partnerships, and Developer teams. Become a trusted advisor to these departments. Guide alignment with leadership on compelling strategies and sensitive topics.
- Communicate product details internally and externally. The goal is to make sure that all team members are up-to-speed on launch details and external partners have a smooth onboarding on any changes to their experience.
- Partner with Product Management to support the vision for our roadmap through the eyes of developers.
- Communicate compelling feedback to fuel improvement to existing products and communication.
- Report to Senior Director, Product Marketing
You have:
- 10+ years Product Marketing experience preferably with a global platform.
- Experience managing Product Marketing Managers.
- Experience leading omnichannel product marketing strategies.
- Proficient in messaging, positioning and marketing/content strategy.
- Experience encouraging agreement and working with product team members at all levels.
- Collaborative, globally minded with an extremely high level of audience focus.
- Effective being hands-on with individual projects
- High attention to detail including precise and effective communications.
- Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
- Experience managing Product Marketing Managers is a plus.
- Proven success in delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment
- High attention to detail including precise and effective communications.
- Experience as a novice creator with Roblox Studio and Lua programming, or another game engine is a strong plus
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
Annual Salary Range
$225,280 — $260,790 USD
