Job Description
- In this role as a Product Marketing Analyst in the Product Marketing, Insights & Planning group, you will study the AR market landscape and provide insights and analysis to inform Magic Leap go-to-market strategy with respect to appropriately positioning our products in the marketplace.
Responsibilities:
- Support the messaging that differentiates our products in the market with data & insights that resonates with our target ecosystem partners, developers and buyers.
- Collect and analyze data from 3rd party sources (i.e. industry analysts) regarding market landscape and trends, demographics, buying habits and needs to better identify market potential, paths to market and other factors influencing product strategy and demand.
- Provide actionable overall market insights in support of decision data for product go-to-market priorities, product market fit, industry opportunities and competition.
- Gather market information on competitors, and conduct analysis on their sales, prices and methods of distribution and marketing to thoroughly learn about the competition. Work with platform experts to deliver comparisons where needed and maintain a historical library of assessments for ongoing reference.
- Track and forecast trends in spatial computing/augmented reality/mixed reality, and analyze in detail the data collected to provide management with thorough reports and results on a regular basis.
- Correlate / analyze data from various internal sources (research, customer support, customer board of advisors, etc.) and aggregate with overall insights.
- Prepare slides on various topics for use by business teams and executives in support of customer and partner presentations where appropriate.
- Prepare reports on insights and trends while illustrating data with graphs and translating complex results into content that is clear and understandable.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of work experience in cross-functional strategic/analytical roles
- Experience in VR/AR/MR/XR enterprise/B2B go-to-market highly desired, hands on/technical experience a plus
- Proven ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and across multiple departments
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills across multiple audiences
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to deliver high-quality content across wide spectrum of audiences
- Well versed in Microsoft PowerPoint/Google Slides, Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets
- Experience with data and statistical analysis across multiple sources using python, PromQL and/or VizQL a plus
- Business scenario/financial modeling experience a plus
