Senior Product Manager, Data Engineering

Senior Product Manager - Data Engineering (Monetization)

We are looking for an exceptional Sr. Product Manager to join Unity Technologies’ Monetization Organization.

This role will be responsible for driving outcomes for our customer reporting and data pipeline products with Unity’s monetization data engineering team.

The DE team is a central, cross-functional group enabling outcomes across Unity’s data landscape. This role will have a direct impact on revenue and customer satisfaction via effective customer reporting, ETL services, and machine-learning products.

This is an opportunity to work with a top-flight data engineering team building modern solutions for data at scale for Unity. This role will have broad exposure and influence over product & data strategy within unity monetization and the associated execution.

Responsibilities

• Define the product vision and roadmap for the Data Engineering development team
• Prioritize requirements for development and create detailed PRDs
• Build & Maintain alignment between data engineering internal customers and core development
• Define KPIs and success criteria for the Dashboard team and associated deliveries
• Partner with Business Intelligence to create effective, performant reporting

Requirements

• Experience in software product management working in data or data infrastructure
• Understanding of common Big Data technologies (Druid, Kafka, BigQuery, GCP)
• Working knowledge of databases, data warehousing, and query languages
• Strong prioritization skills including impact-certainty models and stack-ranking
• Experience working with central teams serving both internal and external customer groups
• Basic analytic competencies (data cleaning & analysis, dashboarding, SQL, visualization)

Bonus Points

• Experience as a data engineer or analyst
• Bonus points for direct experience in mobile game or live operations
• Design experience working with BI tools (Tableau, Looker, PowerBI)
