THE OPPORTUNITY
The Product Manager is responsible for understanding and evaluating gameplay data, industry trends, and setting value propositions, and reporting on those to leadership at Standing Stone Games, reporting to the Executive Producer, this position will be responsible for:
- Data Analysis and Communication
- Present data, measure KPIs, and communicate your findings to the game teams
- Provide ad-hoc analysis upon request regarding customer gameplay and/or spending behaviors
- Suggest changes to the game teams that will improve KPIs
- Evaluate performance of sales, features, and other product initiatives
- Track monthly and yearly revenue targets
- Gauge reasons for variance in performance
- Escalate any worrying changes to Managers and Stakeholders
- Provide regular reporting on the performance of game releases
- Present best practices for new development and performance optimization
- Create guidance on monetization and product positioning best practices
- Advise on trends in player behaviors
- Advise on trends in the wider gaming marketplace
- Product pricing and positioning strategies
- Assess value propositions for virtual items and digital promotions
- Review pricing suggested by the game team
- Make changes to existing offers where necessary to increase customer enjoyment and revenue
- Determine sales & promotions cadence
- Work with the game teams to create new offers that our customers will love
- Evaluate Brand promotional plans to ensure they are consistent with product strategy
- Collaboration with Business Intelligence team
- Work with Data Architects to continue to improve our data ecosystem
- Create new kinds of dashboards specific to the Standing Stone Games products when necessary
- Submit feature requests for changes to the data pipelines that impact analysis capabilities
- Help provide context for the Data Architects in response to data infrastructure changes
- Answer questions about how data is being utilized
- Validate assumptions about the results of queries
What craft expertise you’ll have:
- Tools/Technology/Skills
- Required: SQL, Tableau, Live Service, F2P, MS Office (Excel)
- Desired: MMO, Jira, Confluence, Data Science XP, Python
- Knowledge
- Required: Data Visualization best practices, Price elasticity principles
- Desired: Statistics, Behavioral economics, Survey Design best practices

- Additionally, you should possess
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with remote cross functional team members
- Demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving
- Strong attention to detail
- A deep love of using data to quantify customer behaviors and prove out theories
- Excitement and empathy for the customer experience in the games
