The Product Manager, Requirements and Roadmaps, will work with the various product teams of experienced educators, designers, and developers to create innovative digital learning experiences for students, and actionable insights for teachers, other district faculty and staff, and parents. In this role, you will have the enviable opportunity to help determine the research efforts, features, benefits, and user experience of the Age of Learning Mastery products. You will also monitor product performance and key metrics to drive strategy and decisions on priority, business value, and functionality forward of the mastery product.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Curriculum, Product, Project Mangers, Engineers, Quality Engineers, Designers, etc. to deliver high-quality products for children, teachers, and families.
- Investigate, define, and document product requirements, draft stories, and manage backlog and product feature decisions and socialize those with cross-functional teams to drive alignment, timeline, and deliverable expectations.
- Consolidate asks and ideas into clear specifications with the goal of creating flexible and innovative interactive activities that balance pedagogical needs and engagement
- Create and maintain technical and product documentation and continuously improve documentation processes
- Understand scope and priorities across multiple active projects and apply that knowledge to day-to-day work
- Determine and implement process improvements for consistency and efficiency throughout the product development life cycle
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data in support of product strategy
- Be the product expert and voice for all internal and external stakeholders
- Provide coherence across teams to ensure transparency of priorities, roadmap decisions, project updates, and define solutions for blockers
- Consult on research projects alongside other product managers and research teams to ensure the product is exceeding expectations of meeting user pain points, as well as discovering and defining new features.
- Deep understanding competitive landscapes in the educational supplemental market
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of proven product management experience.
- Proven ability to partner with cross-functional disciplines to develop and launch high-quality educational products
- Deep understanding of data-driven analysis and translation to product requirement priorities
- Experience designing and fine tuning the customer experience by making structured, hypothesis-driven product improvements
- Early childhood and/or elementary educational publishing knowledge and market landscape experience
- Background with user testing and design research thinking
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills
- Passion for creating innovation, fun, and compelling learning experiences
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
