Product Manager - Platform

We are looking for a Product Manager, Platform to join our Unity Monetization team in Helsinki. You will be responsible for driving the vision and strategy for products that allow our clients to build their business faster by managing their financial relationships with Unity, how they set up the teams and projects, and the backend systems that power Unity products and features across the company. The work you do will directly contribute to Unity continuing to be the leading development platform for online and mobile games and other real-time 3d products.

To qualify, you should have experience building features for technical products, an understanding of services architecture, and experience managing cross-functional products. In addition to your strong understanding of product and technologies, you are a great communicator both in writing and in person and know how to work closely with software engineers, and other cross-functional partners, to bring new services to the market. The ability to manage stakeholders across multiple disciplines and teams will help you stand out.

Responsibilities

• Assemble product requirements from multiple sources (e.g. strategic planning, financial and legal regulation, developer feedback, usability, sales, competitive assessment) understanding current and future customer needs
• Capture and technically document feature requests from an array of stakeholders, both internal and external
• Write use cases, functional specifications and other feature descriptions
• Participate in our daily engineering work in the role of Product Owner
• Assist in building business cases and analytical insight for new business initiatives: this requires identifying key issues, quantitatively analyzing related metrics, and communicating results
• Work cross-functionally with partner teams in engineer, design, sales, and IT systems teams

Requirements

• Comfort in communicating your strategy and goals with third-party vendors, partners, and internal teams
• Understanding of financial systems, automating accounts payable & receivable and proven track record in product development
• Familiarity with enterprise backend systems
• Experience working with complex projects that span multiple teams, people, and locations
• Sound business judgment and ability to build a business case around a product or service

Bonus points

• Passion for game development
• Experience in product management or software engineering with financial systems
• A background in financial services or banking, and enterprise backend requirements
• Understanding of ERPs, CRMs, payment providers, sales processes and tax reporting
