Product Manager, Merchandising – Diablo and Classic Games

As a Product Manager, Merchandising you will be at the epicenter of all product launches and large-scale marketing campaigns on the Battle.net platform. Successful product managers develop strong working relationships with our internal and external partner teams by synthesizing big picture strategies against detailed requirements, complex dependencies, and technical limitations. Covid-19 Hiring Update: We’re currently in a work-from-home model, and we’re continuing to interview and hire during this time. This role is expected to begin as a remote position but will transition to at least a partial in-office position based out of Irvine, CA. We understand each person’s circumstances may be unique and will work with you to explore possible interim options.
Responsibilities :
- Merchandize digital products on Battle.net. Curate compelling browse experiences and effective purchase flows on the Shop and App.
- Develop and maintain merchandising playbooks and educate game team stakeholders on best practices.
- Maintain merchandising calendars.
- Leverage web analytics tools to identify trends in traffic, conversion, and revenue and create ad-hoc reports to share the findings.
- Maximize the performance of a digital product portfolio by extracting data insights, developing optimization hypotheses, and then AB testing solution alternatives.
- Synthesize stakeholders’ goals, detailed requirements, and technical limitations into an actionable merchandising strategy.
- Provide a forward-looking perspective on supporting new game launches and facilitate go-to-market reviews on your platform.
- Advocate for the short- and long- term goals of game team stakeholders when partnering with Battle.net product owners to advise new product features.
- Advocate for the short- and long- term goals of Battle.net product owners when partnering with game team stakeholders to maximize the performance of their content on our platform.
- Keep stakeholders informed on the priority and status of active and backlogged requests and projects.
- Intake, prioritize, and address configuration requests from internal stakeholders (Game Development, Publishing, Commercial, Legal, and Risk).
- Proactively identify and mitigate executional and performative risks.
- Manage relationships with the regional publishing teams and provide support for regional activations on Battle.net.
- Manage complex deployments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience building ecommerce products, merchandising digital goods, and / or content programming.
- Knowledge of gaming business models.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Experience managing complex dependencies and tight deadlines.
- Experience working in a global environment.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Can-do attitude and a customer service mentality.
Pluses:
- Experience with Google Analytics and Tableau
- Familiarity with the pipelines used to develop and publish AAA games.
