Product Manager - Digital & Innovation

As the Product Manager for Digital & Innovation (or Project/Program Manager (Corp) II as it's known internally) you excel in the digital world, working within diverse teams across design and our technology teams and 3rd party suppliers. Collaboration with your international colleagues is also essential as you will learn and grow from their experiences. As part of the Riot Esports team, you’ll be passionate about creating fan experiences in the sporting world, and you will have a good understanding of what an esports fan is looking for. This, in turn, will empower you to encourage the discovery and definition of solutions for our players and fans together with the project team as well as navigate the course towards new products.

As part of the League of Legends Esports team in Berlin, you will report to the Head of League of Legends Esports for EMEA and join the product management team responsible for delivering the best esports experiences to all our fans in EMEA.

Responsibilities:

• Manage project life cycle end-to-end from kick-off to go-live, across web and mobile
• Ensure partner goals are met, whilst controlling scope, budget, and timelines
• Analyze, understand and cater to your audience's needs throughout all stages of the product life cycle
• Collaborate with diverse teams, potentially in multiple locations – including UX, design, engineering and QA
• Guide and promote agile design and development processes with agencies
• Manage partners from requirements gathering through to launch
• Manage and communicate with 3rd parties involved in project delivery
• Produce documentation, tracking and reporting
• Contribute to overall departmental planning and resourcing across project teams
• Ensure best practices in project delivery are maintained and adapted
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to discover new product opportunities and devise their go-to-market strategies
• Coordinate launch of Riot-owned Digital Products with Global Esports
• Provide context and understand the local market challenges in order to ensure regional features and requirements are taken onboard on other roadmaps within Riot
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• You have at least 5 years of experience working with teams as a Producer, Product Manager, Product Owner, Project Manager, Development Manager and have worked with or led a team through full product cycles, from idea to production
• You fully understand your target audience and put their satisfaction at the basis of your decision making
• You know how to work with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver the best product experience possible - regardless of the audience being a business or a customer/player/viewer/fan
• You understand the constraints of project delivery across scope, time and budget and will have applied this knowledge previously
• You guide teams down the right path even if it’s unpopular or difficult to traverse to ensure it provides optimal value
• You understand the difference between Back-end and Front-end, understand how to build processes at a high level, development processes and explain technical decisions at a high level to non-technical people
• You use your suite of skills to level up your team's creative ideas and you know how to back up those with analysis, metrics, and stats
• You have a good knowledge about product design and design thinking
• You have experience in facilitating existing go-to-market strategies for global initiatives
• You understand how to deliver products using external development agencies and being the facilitator across the business for the launch
