Product Manager, Competitive Intelligence

Are you passionate about games and the business of games? Do you enjoy staying on top of the latest industry news and trying to understand what makes the latest big release successful? Do you want to partner with key leads across the studio to help inform strategies and develop recommendations for our exciting portfolio of titles? Bungie is seeking a Product Manager to join its Competitive Intelligence team.
The Competitive Intelligence team here at Bungie is responsible for delivering timely information, data, and insights on industry news, trends, and competitors to promote better business decision-making within the studio. As the first Product Manager on this team, you will use data, research, and an understanding of industry best practices to develop actionable insights that can inform product strategy and development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Track and analyze performance and live operations of competitor games, delivering monthly reports to key stakeholders
- Create longer-form write-ups or presentations of specific games that include a breakdown of the important game systems and features, and analyze performance
- Partner with game team leadership, publishing leadership, and other Product Managers to create recommendations within defined problem spaces
- Present findings to stakeholders and senior leadership at the company
- Monitor the larger game industry to identify trends and understand new strategies and tactics, delivering timely insights to our leadership team
- Act as a point of contact for external third-party data and research providers and help assess and vet new ones
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Experience in competitive analysis and market research
- Experience working in the games industry
- Deep passion for games and ability to understand and deconstruct what makes a successful live game
- Broad understanding of monetization and engagement strategies that exist in the video games market
- Strong writing and presentation skills
- Ability to communicate, articulate, and present to senior leadership across a variety of disciplines
- Business acumen with strategic and analytical capabilities, using data to inform strategic and business decisions
- The ability to source and analyze data from a range of disparate sources, then consolidate insights into clear takeaways
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS
- Experience reviewing financial filings and investor relations documents and sourcing relevant information and insights
- Ability to work autonomously, with little direction on day-to-day work and general direction on new assignments
Most Bungie full-time employees will adopt a digital first approach allowing remote work in Bungie approved locations (outside of positions identified as 100% onsite in Bellevue/Seattle, or individuals preferring a hybrid/flex environment). Prospective full-time employees located outside of CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, IL, MA, MD, MN, NC, NJ, NY, OR, TX, UT, VA, WA, or WI will need to establish residency in one of the states we are compliant in within 45 days of a start date.
