About Our Internships
2K’s summer internships are paid internship opportunities, 10 weeks long, focused on both functional and professional growth. Internships include weekly learning sessions with senior leadership, networking opportunities, and fun and engaging projects that have real-world impact.
2K’s summer internship program runs June through August at our 2K Publishing HQ in Novato, California. The internship program is open to all U.S residents who are students at the time of internship. The pace is fast, the atmosphere is fun, and we’ll push and challenge you to learn and grow beyond anything you’d expect. It’s truly a unique and rewarding experience.
What You Will Do
We are looking for a Product Management Intern who will work with external developers and internal stakeholders to bring the product to the next level by providing data insights, feedback, and feature ideas. You will enhance the value of beloved 2K IPs and build world-class mobile games that will impact our players’ lives. With your education and experience, you will be able to take on real-world challenges from day one and continue to provide direct value on the potential of our games in your day-to-day contributions to our team.
Reporting to the Lead Product Manager, you will:
- Analyze game performance data to inform and/or produce strategic recommendations and areas of opportunity for our titles
- Write feature specs for new game features to address monetization, retention, engagement, or live ops KPIs
- Analyze (e.g. economy, LiveOps, etc.) competitor products to help learn from their success and navigate industry-wide challenges to building and launching successful mobile products
- Plan and execute playtesting to collect player feedback on the player experience. Draw insights from player feedback to diagnose problems or identify opportunities for improving the player experience
- Evaluate industry trends and challenges facing the mobile game landscape. Provide insights from your evaluation and use your knowledge to inform business expectations according to research, insights, and ongoing product performance
What Will Make You a Great Fit
- Enrolled in a college, university, or trade school at the time of internship
- Ideally working towards or obtained a BA or BS in business, economics, engineering, CS, or similar; MBA preferred
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- You have a strong passion for mobile games and crafting game experiences
- You have excellent written communication and verbal agility for cross-team collaboration
- You are self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented

The range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be $35 per hour. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
