Product Management Intern (Fall 2021)

We are in search of an ambitious, analytical, and organized Product Management Intern who has a passion for games and the pursuit of understanding what makes them games successful. You will get the opportunity to learn and work with some of the industry’s top Product and Analytics professionals while learning to get into the head of our players -- become the authority in the psychology of players and gameplay! You will work in a fast-paced environment while getting immersed in the game dev process on some of mobile’s top mobile games. This internship opportunity will be entirely remote and part-time (15-20 hours per week)
Internship Program Qualifications:
- Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate university program in the U.S (upcoming Juniors or Seniors preferred) and able to intern remotely through mid-December 2021
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US during the Fall 2021 session. Visa sponsorship is not available for our internship positions.
- Be able to work on a part-time basis (up to 20 hours per week)
WHAT YOU'LL DO AS A PRODUCT MANAGEMENT INTERN:
- Conduct competitive analysis by playing competitor games and reporting on fun and remarkable features.
- Pitch innovative features and concepts that are designed to improve customer acquisition, engagement, and/or monetization.
- Brainstorm hypotheses, develop experiments and analyze data to improve key game metrics.
- Model out game economies and live operations to identify business opportunities.
- Contribute to the live operations of chart-topping mobile titles and see your work engaged by millions of players.
WHO YOU ARE:
- Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate college program in the U.S. (upcoming Juniors or Seniors preferred, Graduate Students strongly preferred)
- Be able to work on a part-time basis (up to 30 hours per week)
- Exceptional analytical, problem solving, and leadership skills. Emphasis on actionable data-driven decision-making.
- Enjoys playing games for 10+ hours/week.
- Ability to balance creativity with analytics.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to write product specifications and understand design concepts and principles.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in the following fields: Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Business, Engineering, Game Design, or related fields.
About Jam City’s Internship Program:
Jam City’s Fall 2021 Digital Internship Program will take place from September 27th - December 17th, 2021 and will be entirely remote. Students can expect a paid, part-time (15-20 hours per week) internship working alongside Jam City’s business and studio development teams. Within internships, students gain valuable insights into our products, players, and industry. Our program allows students to work on impactful projects, collaborate with industry professionals, and develop problem solving skills through real hands-on experiences. We’re looking for students that bring curiosity, creativity, and an interest or passion for mobile games.
