Product & Live Ops Director

Job Summary:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Product & Live Ops Director to join the Square Enix Mobile team! Based in London, the team are responsible for producing titles in conjunction with external development partners based on Square Enix’s hit franchises as well as external IP.
The successful candidate will oversee the product, analytics, UA market research and player experience disciplines across a portfolio of games being published by the London studio. Leading our commercial and market opportunity strategy, the ideal candidate will be an insightful leader who empowers the team to deliver highly successful mobile games in a people-first environment.
Requirements
Key Deliverables:
- Feature set roadmap & go to market plan product support
- Overseeing team members that deliver
- LiveOps Calendar, offers design, events framework & high-level balancing, rewards and player progression
- KPI management, monitoring and optimisation
- Monetization streams definition: IAPs, subscriptions, ads etc.
- Define user testing strategy
- Features validation (includes features and system designs, balancing & economy, player progression, unlocks, rewards and so on)
- Content strategy & release plans
- A/B testing strategy and pipeline
- Track game KPIs
- Define data hook strategy
- Support design on balancing, events, monetization
- Proactively drive improvements to games based on analytics
- Monitor player experience & sentiment with mitigations to issues and risks
- VIP player strategy
- Ensure we’re always focused on putting the player first
- Monitor industry for best practice
- Support Ad Monetization Manager with ad strategy per game
- Responsible for P&L of ad monetization
- Iterate and update approach based on current game performance and aspirations for the product
- Seek deals to ensure the best opportunities to meet target revenues
- Find and maintain relationships with the best 3rd party platforms
- User acquisition strategy
- Responsible for P&L of user acquisition

Knowledge & Experience:
Essential:
- Able to work on both strategy and execution with equal comfort
- Strategic leader in the free-to-play mobile games market
- Experience working on multiple live ops mobile games concurrently
- Responsibility for other team members
- Deep knowledge of game production methodologies, pipelines and technical requirements.
- Solid understanding of the mobile gaming space, as well as the technologies and general processes required in game production.
- Able to draft excellent project briefs, content specifications, and process documents.
- Experience developing mobile games from concept to launch.
- Strong project and people management experience with a servant-leadership style.
Desirable:
- Experienced with tools such as Segment, DeltaDNA and Singular and other 3rd party tools covering analytics, ad mediation and in-app marketing
- Familiar with Atlassian products (Jira & Confluence)
