Senior Product Designer, Assisted Artistry

Unity is looking for an experienced designer to help define the future of our procedural and assisted artistry tools. Working directly within our Assisted Artistry team, you will collaborate with design, product and engineering leaders, internal technical artists and professional users to design innovative artist workflows and tools used by millions of users worldwide. This role is based in Dublin.

Responsibilities
- Working within the Assisted Artistry team, collaborate with product, engineering and domain experts to define, design and drive a superior user experience for creators
- Create sketches, storyboards, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity comps to accurately describe product vision, review with stakeholders, and iterate towards a final design
- Conduct design research, leveraging internal and external resources to ensure our users-first commitment
- Distill complex technology into a intuitive and efficient authoring experiences
- Collaborate with other design leads to ensure consistency and coherence across Unity products
Requirements
- Portfolio demonstrating extensive experience in UX Design/Product Design, and understanding of the workflows of complex software such as professional desktop software, creative tools, game engines and/or productivity tools
- Experience with primary 3D artist tools such as 3Ds Max, Maya, Substance, ZBrush, Blender, Houdini, etc
- Excellent collaboration skills and a strong ability for verbal and visual communication across different disciplines [Art, Programming, Animation, QA, Documentation and more] to help define the problem space, workflows, and product/feature specifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of design tools such as Sketch, InVision, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or others
Bonus points
- Experience with Unity
- Experience with Houdini, Substance Painter, Quixel Mixer or similar procedural authoring workflows
