Use your expert experience in data & analytics to build powerful stories and visuals that inform the games we make, the technology we develop, and business decisions that drive Epic.
What you’ll do
We are looking for a Product Analyst to join us on the Analytics team. You will focus on analyzing in-game monetization initiatives with the insights, learnings, and trends you surface shared across departments and used in pursuit of making Rocket League better. This will be a hands-on role with lots of time spent analyzing and extracting insights from granular data.
In this role, you will
- Perform analysis on product sales data over time, comparing and contrasting offerings and providing future facing insights and recommendations
- Curate ongoing products and systems like in-game store offerings and underlying product metadata
- Propose workable initiatives to Analytics, Marketing, and Development teams that positively drive KPIs while protecting our player-first values
- Interact with a multitude of types and sizes of data systems
- Liaise with other departments to determine project needs and requirements
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years of professional experience writing and maintaining advanced SQL objects and interacting with databases, preferably MySQL and/or BigQuery
- 3+ years of professional experience working with large and complex datasets
- Demonstrated experience addressing multiple project and stakeholder needs, and translating and communicating results of analyses to non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience with reporting, presentation and visualization of resulting data
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Someone who is user-focused, passionate, scrappy, solutions-focused, and innovative. These traits equal success at Epic and influence everything we do.
Nice to have skills
- A veteran Rocket League player that understands community desires and tolerances related to in-game monetization
- Experience automating data workflows
- Experience with object-oriented programming (Python, C#, Go)
- Experience with Cloud Computing (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and associated infrastructure
- Experience creating and working with ML models
- Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization software
