Abstraction is an independent game development studio from the Netherlands. We’re known for successfully delivering technically challenging projects and providing creative support to AAA publishers and developers for the last 16 years. Our team consists of 100+ passionate Abstractioners from various cultures and nationalities, working on-site, remote or in-between. We worked on amazing IP like Halo, Dune, Mass Effect, Hotline Miami and Baldur’s Gate and have co-development partnerships with companies such as Bioware/EA, 343/Microsoft and Funcom.
Our producers play a central role in the studio, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to deliver the best results possible within the available time and budget. As a producer, you support our creative development teams with planning, setting priorities and determining scope. You work closely together with disciplined leads to set clear goals for the teams to work towards and develop efficient pipelines and processes that help teams work better together. As a producer, you are constantly on the lookout for opportunities to make things run smoother and more efficiently. You work with the team and other producers to define a clear framework that empowers teams and individuals to best showcase and develop their talent, leading to the best result possible.
What Will You Be Doing:
- Oversee the day-to-day activities of a project and maintain a high quality of work across all levels.
- Manage production schedules, risks and dependencies between various disciplines.
- Track progress towards deliverables and report on project status to clients.
- Facilitate constant communication between team members, departments and stakeholders.
- Run daily stand-ups, chase actions, steer priorities and remove roadblocks.
- Schedule and run meetings effectively and ensure outcomes are clear and followed up on.
- Identify risks and dependencies early on to be able to mitigate accordingly.
- Evaluate cross-discipline pipelines and be proactive in improving processes
- Effectively set and manage expectations between all stakeholders.
- Manage the team’s happiness, health and productivity.
- Guide teams to successfully deliver high-quality products on time, in budget.
What You Will Bring Along

- 3 or more years of experience as producer, project/team manager, or coördinator, working with complex cross-disciplinary teams. (Preferably in games.)
- Experience leading project teams and an understanding of how to motivate individuals from different disciplines.
- A proactive attitude that likes to engage in high-pressure problem-solving.
- Clear and reliable communication skills, staying calm under pressure.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and complex challenges on ever-changing projects.
