The Nitty Gritty:
We are on the lookout for a Producer committed to delivering a quality product to join our technology team on a full-time basis to help manage day-to-day production for new features, content, software, and platform updates. This position is available in our Toronto and London office.
The Duties
Daily management of the development team which generally consists of Developers, QA, UX, UI, Animators, Artists, Designers.- Lock down requirements and specifications to formulate the project plan.
- Resource plan and budget based on project needs.
- Manage the agile workflow for the project, including: scrums, sprint planning, reviews and retros
- Provides regular status reporting and capacity plan updates.
- Improve project process, workflow and tools and ensures that each project setup meets the best practices of the Company.
- Tracks and implements project improvement plans to drive team efficiency.
- Effective communication skills across all levels of an organization: status report, manage team communications, production plans, analysis and summary reports
- Be the point person on projects for clients and team members. Know all aspects of development and help team members prioritize and know what to do next.
- Able to negotiate, mediate and conflict manage within projects and teams.
- Execution management with all Production staff, supervise timelines, budgets, milestone reviews etc.
The Essentials:
- 4+ years of game industry experience in game development, production or publishing.
- 2+ years of leadership experience and managing a cross functional team.
- Able to manage multiple mid to high priority projects/initiatives.
- Create, input and manage project plans including; scope, schedule, resource and budget.
- Great communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Exceptional organization, communication and managerial skills
- Improve personal productivity and positively influence the team.
- Proactive self management both project and career.
- Self-directed and autonomous with minimal guidance or senior level management.
- Adaptable to work in high paced environment.
- Anticipate and mitigate issues and escalations.
- Experience with project management software: Jira, confluence, Google Suite, Microsoft office.
- Passion for delivering the best creative, but capable of finding ways to produce it without jeopardizing schedule and budget.
