Are you a structured and communicative producer? Do you have good knowledge of production processes and structures? Do you want to take on the exciting challenge of joining the PDS production team (Studio Red) in making sure Paradox delivers great games, working on both existing and exciting new projects?
About the position:
As a Producer, you will be a key player in the studios production team with responsibility for parts of the game team's many deliveries. For your assigned project and area of responsibility, you will be part of planning and ensuring the execution of said plans, contributing to an effective production & delivery of our games.
Internally, you will collaborate and coordinate with other co-producers & team leads to ensure project alignment, while reporting to the projects Lead Producer, and the studio Production Director, as well as tracking & documenting work progress according to Paradox’s processes and methodologies.
When working with external partners, you will plan and track the process for outsourcing deliveries as well as tracking outsourcing costs, contracts, & invoices.
Communicating plans and processes and maintaining up-to-date live documents & tracking tools such as Jira, Confluence and Shotgrid (formerly Shotgun) are key to your success in this role. Along with production team leaders you will be identifying, managing, and eliminating risks and blockers.
General Responsibilities
- Together with co-producers and team leads, manage the teams resource planning, task distribution and ensuring deliverables.
- Be a key driver within the team to foster a positive culture and effective communication so that the correct stakeholders are informed.
- Create/Participate in status reports, risk assessments and proposing how to mitigate said risks.
- Lead one or more feature teams towards their goals, helping to resolve any blockers, while ensuring the teams understand all relevant processes.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience working in an organisational capacity in a video game dev team or a creative industry.
- Knowledge of and interest in software and game development methods.
- Attention to details and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
- Experience working with spreadsheets, JIRA, Shotgrid a plus.
We see that you have production experience preferably from the video game industry or a similar creative industry. You understand development teams' jargon and have been exposed to production processes, structure, and teams.
Experience or background in art, programming or design is highly merited, as one of those areas will be assigned to you as an area of responsibility within the development team.
Additionally, we see that you are described as communicative, organised, approachable, trustworthy, and not afraid to take on new challenges. We expect you to contribute to- and promote a culture of feedback & knowledge sharing with other producers and production teams.
