Gearbox Software is looking for a Project Manager to join the Spark team. Gearbox’s Spark team builds and maintains a shared platform that provides social, game, and multiplayer services across a wide array of Gearbox Software and Gearbox Publishing titles.

Our Project Managers define product strategy, develop, launch, and enhance products and services that push our platform and business forward. By working with our development teams, you will define feature requirements and coordinate resources from stakeholders. You'll also be responsible for identifying and tracking KPIs across our platform to guide and improve our user experience. The ideal candidate is a highly organized individual with a passion for making great software products, cares deeply about user experience, and bring professional experience delivering impactful customer experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Interface directly with partners, coordinating all efforts that pertain to that partnership and the Spark team
  • Explore and understand partners objectives and needs, turning those into requirements
  • Prioritize Features based on business and customer value
  • Define and align Feature Roadmap and create Feature Backlog
  • Write User Stories, define Acceptance Criteria, key performance indicators, and participate in agile ceremonies.
  • Utilize key performance indicators to gauge product and feature success

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of Production, Product Management, or experience as a game producer/project manager
  • Able to clearly articulate the product or features that you have managed
  • Able to demonstrate experience in prioritizing features, explain the value model behind them, and how to assess them with key performance indicators
  • Able to demonstrate strategic decision making by talking about roadmap, vision, goals, or the objective of a product
  • Able to demonstrate experience in preparing backlog, writing user stories, and working with cross functional teams
  • Experience with Agile software development and tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
  • Proven experience in the practice of product management (You have shipped software products)
  • Desire to build great products and teach others to do the same
  • Hands-on business analytics experience and proven ability to use analytics.

Bonus Points For:

  • Agile, Customer Interviews, Design Thinking experience.
  • Experience managing hardware/software products through entire life cycle including design, creation, launch, and maintaining and operating a live service (SAAS)
  • Familiarity or experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence
  • Solid understanding of schedules, pipelines, and dependencies for developing games
  • Product management / Scrum PO or other relevant certification
