Job Description
As a Producer on Rocksmith+, you'll work closely with our shared tech teams across the world to produce roadmaps and bring them to life for a subscription-based multi-platform music education tool. You'll be supporting multiple agile teams with different tech specialties: server backend, test/build, dev-ops, data tracking, tools, platform engineering, and digital signal processing. While you won't be programming with them, you'll need to speak their language at a high level and always be on the look-out for ways to unblock and support their progress.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Collaborate with the Technical Director and Lead Engineer to manage requirements, development, and maintenance of technical initiatives, including cataloguing and reducing technical debt
- Work with the Lead Producer and leadership group to produce realistic schedules and milestone plans for the technical and engineering teams
- Support, manage, and develop a small local engineering team in North America. Determine human resource needs and follow up on the hiring and assignment plans
- Build successful partnerships across Ubisoft tech teams worldwide, particularly in Japan
- Communicate with senior management on all development status and collaborate with discipline directors to solve problems and mitigate risk
- Identify and communicate all roadblocks or bottlenecks that may prevent teams from achieving established goals within their sprints/milestones. Propose mitigations to those risks
- Provide data to ensure that project goals, objectives, milestones, and deliverable requirements are realistic and achievable
- Own operational aspects of project development, including establishing development frameworks, reporting, risk management, capacity planning, resource management, and budgeting
Qualifications
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Track record of well-executed project planning leading to the timely delivery of quality projects
- Time-management skills. Able to focus on priorities, manage change and deliver on deadlines
- Understanding of game, software, mobile, or web development, particularly as a live service
- Proficiency in MS Office and project management software skills like Jira and Confluence
- Strong written and verbal communication skill, able to distill complex tech issues to broad audiences
- Previous and demonstrated experience in working under rapid development cycles as either producer, product manager, associate producer, programmer, engineer, technical designer, or QC manager, regardless of industry
- Experience working with cross-cultural teams across time zones
- Computer science or engineering experience as a dev, modder, or hobbyist. Degree not required
- Management or mentorship experience and the empathy to help team members grow
- A love of music and learning
- Japanese language proficiency highly desirable.
