Our team reviews various milestone deliveries from partners whose game development we are funding through Portfolio and Acquisition for release on PlayStation. We review a variety of types of games from flat to VR and help our development partners make the best use of what makes playing on PlayStation great. We provide feedback to the developers to help them with their game production based on our hands-on experience with the milestones.
Responsibilities
Download and review milestone builds playable on PS hardware (PS4, PS4 Pro, PS5, PSVR and PSVR2).
Share feedback on the milestone with the SIE Portfolio Producer assigned to the project.
Participate in milestone reviews with SIE Portfolio Producer and Developer Partners about the milestones.
Assist in maintaining and updating of SDKs for PlayStation development and test kits.
Assist in curating library of milestone deliveries keeping it cleanly organized and up to date.
Qualifications
Projected to graduate in 2024
General knowledge/understanding of game development and disciplines (a focus in one or multiple disciplines is a plus) and/or interest in game development and disciplines
Organized self-starter with a passion for gaming and interest in helping others make games
Strong communication skills - verbal and written (need to be able to explain milestone review clearly and confidently)
Eagerness and willingness to learn and collaborate with a variety of game developers
An ability to visualize incomplete game assets and systems while reviewing milestones. As many early milestones have in-complete systems and assets, the ability to understand the intent of the game systems and assets is valuable
