System Era is looking for an intrepid and enthusiastic Producer to help the Astroneer franchise reach new heights. Your strong organization and problem solving skills help you balance the progress of multiple features and systems. As part of the Production org, you are dedicated to helping the team shine by pairing the right people with the right efforts and the right approach with the right problem. You are cool under pressure and are able to help smoothly navigate the team through the asteroid field of game development. The team at System Era is highly collaborative, so in addition to your project management toolbox you’ll need strong communication skills and a deep desire to empower your teammates. You are able to skillfully balance empowering your teammates to do their best work with meeting the needs of the studio and business.

While we prefer working in a hybrid model, System Era supports a variety of work routines to match the needs of our team, including permanent remote work within the US and Canada. Compensation package includes salary, benefits with full medical and dental coverage for employee and dependents, 401k with company match, participation in profit sharing and equity plans, discretionary bonuses, as well as relocation assistance for those interested in moving to Washington state. The base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $120,000 depending on the skills and experience of the candidate. Responsibilities include:

  • Creating and managing development schedules for features, milestones, or full releases
  • Defining and tracking tasks for specific disciplines, features, or milestones
  • Running stand-ups, planning and review meetings, and communicating work status across the studio
  • Analyzing results of sprints and milestones, and proposing refinements to the production process to help the team execute at the highest level
  • Tracking dependencies, escalating and resolving production risks, resolving development conflicts that may arise
  • Keeping an eye on team goals, player sentiment, and business goals and contribute to prioritization of key features and product releases

Qualifications:

  • Professional game development experience in a production or project management role focusing on delivering gameplay features, systems, or content
  • Shipping at least one commercial title where you were responsible for delivering a major game feature, system, or content pack as a producer or project manager
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and solid presentation skills
  • Experience shipping ongoing live updates to games across multiple platforms
  • Demonstrable experience working with Agile production methodologies
  • Demonstrable experience working with project management software like JIRA, TFS, MS Project, Trello, or another relevant toolkit

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with development using Unreal Engine
  • Scrum Master certification or similar project management certification
  • Prior professional experience in another game development discipline (e.g. Art, Design, Engineering, QA, Marketing)
