Gearbox Software is looking for a Producer to manage the production/coordination of our Level Design team. This role may require direct management of Associate Producers to help accomplish goals. Producers must be able to function coordinating cross-discipline teams, in the trenches, alongside creatives. The Producer will ensure their assigned lanes/teams execute proper workflow, take care of any day to day needs, clear blockers, and assist directors and producers in planning processes. This position requires routine status updates to Senior Production staff. The Producer reports directly to the Senior Project Producer.
Responsibilities:
- Support multiple feature teams or discipline departments in the day to day needs of game development
- Operate as the main point of contact for assigned feature teams (or discipline departments) while coordinating and monitoring their milestone progress
- Ensure established workflows are followed
- Participate in planning meetings and assist developers by providing information that allow directors and senior production staff to craft achievable goals for each milestone
- Execute on Senior Production directives by providing data or status updates for each of their teams
- Help diagnose issues that derive from progress reports or resolve any escalated issues
- Have the ability to supervise and mentor Associate Production staff alongside setting a positive example for creatives to maintain high morale
- Monitor and ensure feature team(s) deliver their work on time for each milestone
- Understand the big picture project benchmarks and help guide your teams to success
Qualifications:
- Direct experience, or strong understanding, of project management methodologies like waterfall or Agile
- Ability to see the big picture and how to start breaking it down into smaller achievable goals
- Successfully coordinated cross-discipline or project-centric efforts throughout an entire project life cycle (or have a significant understanding of how these efforts apply to an entire project life cycle)
- Experience delegating tasks
- Ability to make GANTT charts and present a schedule
- At least 3-5 years of experience in the AAA game industry or equivalent
- You are someone that enjoys and has experience interfacing with cross-discipline teams and/or discipline departments
- Being a team player is a top priority for you and you encourage others to be positive and motivated
