Job Description
The Procurement Associate is responsible for driving and supporting the sourcing and contracting needs of the region. The role is strategic in maintaining relationships with third party vendors as well as with the Global Procurement organization. This position is expected to drive innovations to improve the local procurement process and achieve the highest ROI on every engagement.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead sourcing initiatives, ensures the integrity of the bidding process, and enforces compliance with global procurement guidelines
- Conduct fair negotiations and secure deals that drives savings and highest ROI
- Drive the implementation of regional sourcing decisions and support the implementation of global sourcing directions
- Lead the vendor accreditation process, ensuring new vendors are compliant with company standards and statutory requirements
- Establish and maintain a collaborative relationship with third party vendors and global procurement community
- Manage the end-to-end PR/PO process
- Coordinate importations, process customs permits and licenses
- Perform spend analysis and drive cost saving initiatives
- Support internal stakeholders on their understanding of procurement processes, policies, and system
- Manage the local procurement process, identify gaps, and implement improvements
- Ensure that local operations are updated and compliant with established global procurement policy and its enhancements
- Other ad-hoc procurement tasks
Qualifications
- Graduate of any bachelor's degree in any Business-related course, preferably with background in Accounting
- Working experience as Procurement Officer or its equivalent
- Knowledge of Procurement processes and systems
- Advanced skills in MS Office and MS Excel
- Good English communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Preferably with experience in using Oracle and/ or Peoplesoft
- Customer oriented, hardworking and accountable
