What We’re Looking For:
Skillz P2P Senior Specialist will lead Skillz Procure to Pay function. They will support the Director of Procurement in driving the strategy, process, and evolution of the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay process as we continue to scale and grow. They will both support a team of AP specialists and directly help support all internal stakeholders with their P2P needs. They will collaborate with the Director Of Procurement and the Controller to set the direction for the function and help implement the necessary process and policy for compliance and public company readiness.
Additionally, this role will be accountable for the development and maintenance of key performance indicators and service level metrics to identify, measure and drive efficiencies across the team and in the services provided by the department.
The ideal candidate will have both the experience of supporting P2P processes for public companies and preferably have experience setting up a P2P function from scratch. They will have a proven track record of establishing procurement processes and compliance with SOX and regulatory requirements.
This role is part of our Procurement department, will report into the Director of Procurement, and will be responsible for supporting stakeholders across the organization from Engineering to Finance & Operations.
What You Will Do:
- Ownership of the P2P process including Vendor Master Data, PO Issuance, etc. Utilize strong functional knowledge across Procure to Pay functions, including supplier on-boarding, purchase requisitioning, sourcing, invoicing, and payables.
- Actively support Account Payables team
- Develop KPIs and mechanisms to measure success - drive data-based decision making within the Procurement organization
- Coordinate with accounting teams to ensure clean cutoff around vendor invoices during the month-end close process and provide timely and accurate AP accrual
- Ensure SOX compliance of the P2P function. Identify areas of noncompliance and develop remediation plans
- Promote the company culture by encouraging open communication and teamwork
- Direct the development, implementation, and regular review of policies, procedures, and objectives for the P2P process in order to eliminate risk of overpayment and increase efficiency of internal processes. Manage As-Is and To-Be business process mapping, process re-engineering and gap analysis
- Make recommendations for system enhancements to drive improved accuracy and efficiency
- Proactively participate with internal partners (i.e. HR, Legal, Finance, Accounting) to review cross-departmental impacts and work with external partners (i.e. auditors and vendors) for the purpose of compliance, internal control, and audits
- Develop communication, training, and stakeholder engagement materials to drive adoption of change
- Effective oral and written communication skills with ability to clearly and articulately explain issues and opportunities to individuals at all levels within the organization
Your Skillz:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, Accounting or Other Degree combined with relevant experience
- 3-5 years of experience supporting procurement or accounts payable functions with focus on Procure-To-Pay Processes
- Experience with Coupa is a must
- Prior system implementation experience required, specifically functionality applicable to Procure-To-Pay processes (order tracking, receiving, paying, matching)
- Experience in Accounts Payable and/or Procurement Operations
- Proficiency in data analysis and supporting tools
- Willingness to roll up the sleeves as needed
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Any experience with NetSuite, Expensify and IronClad a plus.
