Job Description
As a privacy lawyer, you will support our teams in Canada and around the world by putting your expertise at the service of their creativity, their desire to innovate and the constant search for the trust of our players and employees in the use of their personal information by Ubisoft.
Within the legal department and under the responsibility of the group's Data Protection Officer Canada, you will support the Legal Data & Privacy team composed of 10 people. You will participate in the creation of an innovative and privacy-friendly environment in compliance with regulations and the needs of the teams. Pushing the boundaries of imagination and technology, your main missions are:
- Ensure Ubisoft's privacy compliance and in particular the respect of the rights of Ubisoft's players, employees and candidates:
- Accompany business teams in their innovative projects, as well as the main AAA game production teams throughout the development cycle;
- Contribute to the development of documentation such as privacy impact assessments and privacy policy updates, to enrich and improve the internal Privacy Program;
- Conducting audits of Ubisoft's procedures and processes
- Negotiate the personal information aspects of contracts with Ubisoft's partners and service providers;
- Communicate and raise awareness:
- Carry out training activities for employees in person, by videoconference or in any other innovative way;
- Animate and maintain the network of Canadian Privacy Champions appointed to Ubisoft's Canadian teams;
- Monitor and anticipate regulations, the video game world and technologies.
Qualifications
- You have a bachelor’s degree in law - if you hold IAPP certifications this will be an asset;
- You are an expert in Canadian/Quebec privacy law with good knowledge of the GDPR and CCPA and you have acquired a first significant experience in a company, a law firm, or within a privacy authority;
- You are curious and ready to discover new subjects: you are creative;
- You have a strong spirit of collaboration: you will be part of a team that shares day-to-day decisions and takes common positions; team spirit is essential;
- You are capable of integrating into various teams and of demonstrating adaptability and influence;
- You like to communicate and are bilingual in oral and written French and English required.
