We are looking for a Privacy Counsel to join our Legal team. You will help shape how our innovative company navigates privacy and data protection landscapes worldwide.
The Impact You Will Have:
- Continue to build out and support all aspects of our privacy compliance framework that scales with the company.
- Be one of our experts on issues related to privacy, data security, marketing & advertising.
- Partner with engineering and product teams to provide actionable advice to minimize legal risks while advancing business goals and objectives.
- Draft external privacy notices and disclosures and internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with global privacy laws.
- Evaluate data protection terms in contracts, marketing materials, and policies.
- Monitor and digest developments in privacy and data protection laws and regulations, key judgments, and regulatory guidance to help determine impact for the business and set risk tolerance approach.
- Contribute to furthering the status of the Legal department as an effective and valued resource within the company.
What We Look For:
- Minimum 5 years of combined privacy law experience, at a top law firm and in-house at a tech company.
- Experience with GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, COPPA, and other international privacy and data protection laws.
- Experience designing and implementing privacy compliance programs, policies, and processes.
- Strong analytical capability, organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to drive projects to completion.
- Sound business judgment, adaptability, and demonstrated ability to identify, prioritize, and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Experience in the adtech and mobile gaming industries is a strong plus.
- Sense of humor and high level of professionalism.
- Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar; California Bar admission preferred.
- IAPP Certified Information Privacy Professional credentials preferred.
