Job Summary
PeopleFun is seeking a highly skilled Principal Unity Engineer focused on Builds and Platform technologies for both existing and new games. You will report directly to the VP of Platform Engineering and work in a variety of technology stacks to improve and operate our build and platform systems for game development.
Responsibilities
- Bring your experience and architectural knowledge to bear on exciting Platform
- Technology problems and projects to improve game development and overall developer Quality of Life
- Work with the broader game development teams to define build system standards and best practices across our games portfolio
- Build and integrate a wide set of development, pipelines and tools for mobile game development and releases
- Create performant and maintainable build pipelines and automation systems for games
- Develop workflows for monitoring game development tools health and min specs (unity version, …)
- Contribute and improve production processes, coding, and operational practices for our games
Requirements
- 6+ years developing games and/or build and automation tools for games
- Demonstrated expertise in build systems and platform tools
- Fearless attitude and willingness to jump in to unfamiliar areas
- Technical experience across a range of game technology - build systems such as TeamCity and Jenkins, Fastlane, OS, toolchains, Unity 3D, Asset Bundles / Addressables, Mobile Game Releases and Platform tools
- Advanced C# development experience
- Strong experience with scripting languages like Python, Bash and Groovy
- Forward-looking mentality, taking into account scale and performance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships with team stakeholders
- Experience with iOS and Android app deployment using TestFlight and Appcenter.ms
Desired Qualities
- Experience or interest in Ad Technologies
- Familiar with mobile/F2P and a passion for games
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering
- In depth knowledge of Unity 3D or other Game Engine technologies
- Common Mobile Game platforms and SDKs (Firebase, …)
