Principal Technical Program Manager - Video Platform

About the Role

The Video Platform is building the future of interactive video to serve both Twitch.tv and external AWS developers through our recently launched AWS offering, the Amazon Interactive Video Service (IVS). We create the cutting-edge of video technology by investing in next-generation video codecs, reducing latency, and improving QoS. Amazon IVS provides over 1 trillion minutes of video in 2020 over one of the largest live video distribution networks in the world. We also need to build our video platform to be more efficient, adaptive , and responsive to meet the level of delivery set by AWS.

Reporting to the Director of Program Management, the Principal Technical Program Manager for the Video Platform, you will guide both strategy and tactical decision-making to achieve complex cross-team programs. You will need to work with engineering to accomplish important technical projects such as a dynamic real-time reservation system for video bandwidth or estimating system capacity use of millions of viewers.

You will be in a rare opportunity within Twitch and AWS to help determine the next generation of video platforms. You will bring both deep technical and program management leadership expertise, proven business acumen and judgment , and the desire to bring clarity to ambiguity .

You Will:

• Establish the roadmap for our video platform offering
• Work with engineering, product management, marketing, legal , etc . to deliver the video platform
• Drive agreement on AWS and Twitch business and technical leadership through affective interaction

You Have:

• 9+ years of PM / TPM experience .
• Proven experience shipping quality products on-time .
• Experience organizing, communicating, and collaboration skills .
• Experience organizing and aligning roadmaps, and manage different tasks with varying priorities.
• Experience negotiating and resolving conflict smoothly and without formal authority.
• Solid ability to find and address risk with senior and executive leadership
